Sakuna yang merupakan anak dari Dewa Perang dan Dewa Kesuburan, menjalani hari-harinya dengan bermalas-malasan dan menghabiskan kekayaan keluarganya. Suatu hari, ia membuat kesalahan karena membiarkan manusia mengembara di dunia dewa dan menyerbu ibu kota hingga menghancurkan seluruh persediaan beras yang merupakan persembahan untuk dewa utama. Sebagai hukumannya, Sakuna diperintahkan untuk menyelidiki Pulau Hinoe yang dikuasai oleh iblis. Sakuna pun memulai perjalanan ke pulau tersebut bersama manusia.

Definition
