Dahulu kala, makhluk asing datang ke Bumi dan menyatu dengan manusia di planet ini. Karena penampilan mereka, mereka dijuluki "Mecha-ude", karena ketika digabungkan, mereka memiliki kemiripan yang mencolok dengan anggota badan mekanis. Melalui kemitraan yang tidak disengaja, rata-rata siswa sekolah menengah Hikaru Amatsuga bekerja bersama Mecha-ude Arma , yang merupakan eksistensi yang sangat langka dan istimewa. Untuk melindungi Arma, kelompok perlawanan ARMS menugaskan pengguna Mecha-ude ganda Aki Murasame untuk mengikutinya kemanapun dia pergi. Di balik layar, sebuah organisasi yang dikenal sebagai Grup Kagami sedang mencari "Lengan Pemicu" yang mistis, sebuah Mecha-ude yang dikatakan memberikan kekuatan tak terbatas. Saat nyawa Aki terancam oleh kelompok ini, Hikaru harus bekerja sama dengan Arma untuk menemukan keberanian melawan dan, dalam perjalanannya, belajar bahwa hidupnya tidak akan pernah biasa lagi.
